Day 1Cairo(Saturday) Arrive Cairo, staff will assist with clearing immigration and customs then transfer you to the Le Meridien Pyramids hotel. Overnight Cairo (D)

VISAS: All travelers to Egypt must have a visa. Those traveling with USA or Canada passports can obtain theirs on arrival at Cairo. No photos, no forms and cost is about $18. Travelers with other passports should check with us whether you need one before arrival.
Day 2Cairo(Sunday) Enjoy a full international buffet breakfast and meet your guide, one of Egypt's top female Egyptologists before starting the day at the Pyramids at Giza, home of the 7th wonder of the world, the Great Pyramid. Visit the inscrutable Sphinx and then a wonderful afternoon to explore the treasures of the Egyptian Antiquity Museum featuring King Tut's treasures then end the day with a visit to the Khan el Khalili bazaar where travelers have been finding bargains since the middle ages. Overnight Cairo (B,L,D)
Day 3Luxor(Monday) Buffet breakfast, check out of the hotel and staff transfers you to the airport, assists with checking in and you fly to Luxor. Arriving, staff will transfer you to your 5 star Deluxe Nile cruiser, the Queen of Hansa. Ship features include panoramic opening floor to ceiling windows, large cabins, T.V./video/radio, private baths and individual climate control. Lunch, then visit Luxor and Karnak Temples. Watch the sunset over the Necropolis of Thebes while enjoying dinner. Evening entertainment. Overnight Luxor (B at the hotel, L,D on the ship)
OPTIONAL sound and light show at Karnak Temple.
Day 4Edfu(Tuesday) Enjoy breakfast while sailing to Esna. Pass the Esna lock and sail to Edfu. Lunch on board. Dinner and evening entertainment. Overnight Edfu (B,L,D)
Day 5Aswan(Wednesday) Breakfast then visit the Temple of Horus. Enjoy lunch while sailing to Kom Ombo then to Aswan. Dinner and evening entertainment. Overnight Aswan (B,L,D)
Day 6Aswan(Thursday) Breakfast then visit the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae. Lunch. FREE BONUS: Afternoon visit to the Botanical Gardens traveling by Felucca (native sailboat). These are wind powered only so if there is no wind this will not operate. Dinner and evening entertainment (B,L,D)
OPTIONAL (extra cost) tour to Abu Simbel available this morning. If you take this excursion the site visits to Philae temple, etc. will be Friday morning. (cost is $220 a person, including transfers, flights, private tour with entry fees, service charges and taxes)
Day 7Edfu(Friday) Breakfast, Free morning to enjoy Aswan or optional excursions, Lunch on board. Afternoon sail to Kom Ombo. Visit the Temple of Kom Ombo and sail to Edfu. Dinner and evening entertainment. Overnight Edfu. (B,L,D)
OPTIONAL excursions:
* Camel trek to St. Simeon's Monastery ruins: $60 per person
* Visit to the Nubian Museum, a world class presentation of Nubia's history and culture plus the famous spice market: $60 per person
Day 8Luxor(Saturday) Breakfast while sailing to Esna. Cross the lock and continue sailing to Luxor. Lunch while sailing. Dinner and evening entertainment. Overnight Luxor (B,L,D)
Day 9Luxor(Sunday) Breakfast then cross the Nile and visit the West Bank (the Valley of the Kings and Queens, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon). Lunch on board. Afternoon free at leisure in Luxor. Dinner and evening entertainment. Overnight Luxor (B,L,D)
Day 10Alexandria(Monday) After breakfast staff transfers you to the airport, assists with checking in and you fly to Cairo. Transfer by air-conditioned coach to Alexandria, the city Alexander the Great built and Cleopatra made famous. Enjoy the comfort of the Marriott Renaissance Hotel, right on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea. Overnight Alexandria (B on the ship, Lunch en-route to Alexandria, Dinner in Alexandria)
Day 11Alexandria(Tuesday) A full day touring the wonders of Alexandria including the catacombs, the museums, the Greco-roman sites and the new library. Overnight Alexandria (B,L,D)
Day 12Cairo(Wednesday) Enjoy Alexandria in the morning and return to Cairo in the afternoon. Arriving transfer to the Cairo Sheraton hotel. Overnight Cairo (B,L,D)
Day 13Cairo(Thursday) After your buffet breakfast enjoy a tour of Old Cairo with it's famous churches and synagogue plus the Citadel of Salah el Din, bane of the crusaders and the Alabaster Mosque. Overnight Cairo (B,L,D)
OPTIONAL sound and light show at the pyramids this evening.
Day 14Cairo(Friday) Visit Memphis (the ancient capital), Sakkarra with the Stepped Pyramid and Dahshur with it's famous Bent and Red Pyramids plus the new Imhotep museum. Overnight Cairo (B,L,D)
Day 15Cairo(Saturday) Staff will transfer you to the airport, assist with exit formalities and checking in for your international departure.
